Oklahoma has long been synonymous with Bingo. That’s because the Native bands of Oklahoma have operated Bingo sessions for decades. Clients from many of the neighboring states get in vans and head over to Oklahoma to wager on Bingo over the weekends.
The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act followed a landmark decree by The U.S. Supreme Court just the year before. From that time, 23 of the thirty nine American Indian tribes located in Oklahoma have established gaming halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma Indian band to take advantage of the wagering rules, and at this time operate ten casinos of their own. Bingo was the game on which the above-mentioned gambling halls were built on. digital games like one armed bandits weren’t authorized, since they are believed to contribute to gambling dependency at a higher rate than bingo.
